Caring for your Woven ItemsCleaning and spot-treating:
Use the upholstery brush on your vacuum and gently sweep it across the surface to remove any dust or dirt that may have settled in the crevices of your woven item.
For spot-treating a stain, first remove any solid material from around the soiled area. Then, apply a mild cleaning solvent. Dampen a white cloth with clean water and wipe away any residue of the solvent—do not over-saturate the natural fibers. Lightly pat the area dry with a white towel.
Fabric linings can be spot-treated with gentle liquid detergent and a damp white cloth. Rub the cloth and detergent over the stain until the stain is removed, and then let the fabric air dry.
Natural fibers—like seagrass and bamboo—are vulnerable to color fading when left out in the sun. To protect the vibrancy of your woven item, we recommend limiting direct exposure to sunlight or rotating your item to even out the natural fading.
